HELIA recommends Yeastar

The Yeastar P-Series is an advanced commercial phone system. We have found it to have the best value of any phone system available today and it supports colonies with up to 200 extensions and 60 lines with the D30 module. This antenna replaces a Ubiquity Rocket and Omni-directional antenna but only has 120 degree coverage.  To get a full 360 degree coverage, you'll need  3 of these antennas.

  • Maximum Speed - 450Mbps
  • Maximum Power Consumption - 7 W

This antenna has maximum throughput of  450 Mbps.  Expect to see lower speeds as both distance between antennas, radio frequency interference from other devices and objects like trees, buildings, rain and significant dust will impact throughput to varying degrees

Non-standard 24v PoE is used on this device.  This single pack includes a 24v PoE injector however the multi pack which has a lower per-unit cost does not include the injector.   A standard PoE switch provides 48v power and so is not compatible with this device.   Some Ubiquiti switches have the ability of providing the standard 48v but also have the option of providing 24v.  If you intend to power this antenna with a network switch instead of the included 24v PoE injector, ensure your switch supports the non-standard 24v option.

Maximum power consumption is 7W.  This is important when using a PoE switch to power this device.   PoE switches have both a maximum PoE port allocation as well as a total power budget that can be used in sum across all ports.  Add the maximum power consumption of all devices you intend to plug into a switch to calculate how much power the switch will need to provide and then select the PoE network switch accordingly.

This antenna will work with both the older M5 nanobeam and nanostation antennas as well as the newer Nanostation AC antennas.
